"The first day was incredible. Mercurey, with a wine tasting and a cheese and charcuterie platter—a real treat. In the afternoon at Château de Couches, the food-and-wine pairing tasting menu for dinner was magnificent—better than just doing the tasting on its own, which was also offered. The accommodations were top-notch and very comfortable. The second day wasn’t as enjoyable. The restaurant was elegant, but the cuisine was too subtle and complex for our tastes. The tasting at the Antonin Rodet cellars was very simple—too simple—and lacked a platter to appreciate the food pairings. On top of that, unfortunately, it was cold in their tasting room in October, which made the experience feel a bit low-end, especially after a gourmet meal. As a result, we were left wanting more, but we’d happily return for another hotel-and-restaurant stay at the Château de Couches. "Thank you to Vinotrip for the flawless organization. Our stay began with a delicious meal at Le Verger des Papes, a perfect restaurant with excellent cuisine. This was followed by a very interesting tour of the Ogier cellars, a beautiful facility. That evening, we had dinner and spent the night at the beautiful La Buissière country house with a charming host who welcomed us warmly and shared his home with us—thank you, Pierre François. The next day, we visited the Brotte estate and its wine museum, which was very interesting. We also had a lovely encounter with the sommelier there. Thank you, Vinotrip—everything was perfect. We’ll recommend you to all our friends and family."
