Chateau d’Isenbourg is an attractive privately run castle-hotel comprising 41 authentic rooms, located in the heart of the vineyards of Alsace, on the heights of Rouffach. Just a few miles away from Colmar, it makes an ideal stop from where to discover Alsace and the pleasures it has to offer. Here, you will enjoy relaxation and refinement and discover a magnificent panorama on the Alsace plain and vineyards.
This castle, marked with history, built on 12th century caves, comprises 41 authentic rooms, decorated with refinement and elegance, offering a view on the castle’s wooded park, the vines, the Alsatian plain and the charming village of Rouffach, that is both restful and a change of scene.
The gastronomic restaurant “Les Tommeries” is installed in the former orangery and the Castle’s arched caves of old. Here, you will taste refined and inventive cooking governed by the rhythm of the seasons and the inspiration of Matthias Lingelser, the young chef. There are two atmospheres from which to choose:
- the Salle Panoramic, which opens widely onto the terrace and the vines of Clos Isenbourg. Its Louis XV style, crystal suspension lights, flagstone floor and famous panoramic fresco from the “Zuber” manufacture, confer on it a lot of elegance;
- The Salle Dagobert, a very high-ceilinged arched room dating from the 14th century that will seduce you through its Louis XII decor. From the first days of fine weather, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic terrace, with the vines at your feet.
On the first floor of the Castle, the relaxation area with its in-door pool, sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi welcomes you every day from 7a.m. to 9p.m. for a moment of relaxation. During the summer, you can enjoy the outdoor heated pool that overlooks the vineyards and Rouffach. Two well-being treatment cabins will allow you to get away from it all for the space of a relaxing treatment. Body sculpting, beauty care, traditional Thai massage... To stay at Château d’Isenbourg is to discover the charm and the art of living the French way in an enchanting setting.
