79 Avenue de Champagne, 51200 Épernay
Countess Lafond was the woman behind the scenes, back in the 19th century, who built up the reputation of treveihe wines produced by the estate (located mainly in the Loire and Bourgogne regions and containing the chateau you see today). Today, Baron de Ladoucette, grandson of the Countess, is in charge of operations. He honours her memory by placing her name on the labels of his most prestigious Maison de Champagne vintages.
The chateau is located in Epernay, on the renowned Avenue de Champagne. Standing tall with timeless grace and elegance, visitors are plunged into a historical discovery of champagne. The massive park spanning 4 hectares overlooks the magnificent Côte des Blancs.
The vintages of the property are not unlike its appearance: poised and elegant. A wide variety of champagne is available; all undergo a 3-year ageing process in the cellars: The Cuvée Brut, the lighter Cuvée Extra-Brut, the Brut Rosé and the Cuvée Nectar, semi-dry champagne.
After a visit of the park and the vineyards on the estate, a customized wine-tasting session is offered. The most prestigious vintages of the estate are accompanied by gourmet appetisers; ranging from morsels of salmon, fois gras on gingerbread or caviar on toast. It is also possible to organize private luncheons and dinners, cooking lessons as well as picnics in the park.
