The origins of Château Baudan date back to the middle of the 19th century, when Pierre Sauts planted his first vines in the vineyard that would take the name of Baudan. Several generations of winegrowers have followed one another, and each brought their touch of evolution within the property.
Over the years, the purchases and planting of new plots have allowed the Château de Baudan to gain in size and notoriety. Now, the Blasquez family works daily to promote its wines.
The château has obtained the “Vignoble et Découvertes” label, is also part of the network of independent winegrowers and is now certified High Environmental Value.
Château Baudan produces a red wine whose key words are aromatic complexity and elegance. Created according to the Médoc tradition, the estate highlights the Listrac appellation whose "terroir" deserves to be better known.
The 30-year-old vines offer an elegant, fine and generous wine. The blend, which forms a tannic and fruity whole, is made up of Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot, typical grape varieties of the Médoc. Produced in stainless steel vats and aged in oak barrels, all the flavors of the Médoc will be present.
Château Baudan plays the card of renovation and expansion in order to promote wine tourism, and to make its wines known to an audience of amateurs.
