18300 Sancerre
The history of Domaine Hubert-Brochard has been written for five generations in Chavignol, a few kilometers from Sancerre.
At the heart of the Appellation, the terroirs surrounding this charming village are particularly renowned. They thus offer a unique expression of Sauvignon Blanc, the emblematic grape variety of Centre-Loire.
The estate's vines are located in two prestigious Center-Loire appellations: Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.
Since the creation of the Domaine, the owners have been keen to preserve and reflect the diversity of their terroirs in their wines. Sauvignon blanc and Pinot Noir are planted on three main types of soil: white earth (clay-limestone), flint and caillottes (calcareous soil).
The domain is certified “High Environmental Value”. Part of the vineyard is in conversion and will be certified Organic Agriculture by 2025.
You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with their know-how and their passion for the terroirs of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. The visit ends with the tasting of a selection of wines accompanied by Crottin de Chavignol (local cheese): a real and unique experience in Sancerre!
