In 2011, Fred Lailler took over the estate from Michel Brégeon.
Michel is one of the precursors of high-quality Muscadet and a leading promoter of Nantais Vineyard wines; one of those who always believed that this wine made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety could offer great wines. He produced deep and subtle wines, wines capable of competing blind with the best.
A 10-hectare organic vineyard, where the grapes are hand-harvested and the wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts to respect the terroirs and grape varieties.
The two grape varieties cultivated here are Folle Blanche and Melon de Bourgogne. They take root in the clay soils of Gabbro in Gorges and the sandier soils of Granite in Clisson.
Melon de Bourgogne is a white grape variety originating from the Burgundy vineyard; although rarely used in its region of origin, it is widely cultivated in Loire-Atlantique under the name Muscadet.
Folle Blanche is a white grape variety. Originating from western France, it has been used for the production of Cognac and Armagnac brandies since the 17th century and was renowned for its finesse and fragrant aroma. It is particularly used in the production of Gros Plant du Pays Nantais.
Three-part visit with the winemaker: discovery of the vines and the work of the season, visit to the cellar and explanation of production methods, then tasting.
