The wines of the Savoy region call four administrative districts home: Savoie, Haute Savoie, Isère and Ain. Savoie and Bugey offer a diverse selection of grape varieties: white wines in the form of jacquère, chardonnay and chasselas, as well as red wines that use the gamay grape.
Wines that have the appellation d’origine contrôlée from Savoie include Ripaille, Marin, Marignan, Montmélian, Abymes, and Apremont, while Crépy produces dry white wines, as do the appellations of Seyssel and Roussette-de-Savoie.
